Photographed by Bjorn Wallander The richly layered Salon of his 2021 Kips Bay Dallas Showhouse design incorporates many gestures, from the presentation of the architecture to the dramatic staging of furnishings and accessories. Long an admir- er and collector of antiquities, Aiduss weaves some of his favorite bespoke trims from his exclusive signature collection created for Houlés-Paris into his design. e ancient Greek inspired motifs blend seamlessly with modernist counterparts, and the sequencing of scale provides a delicate balance with the bolder statements in the room. Conceived largely out of a gilded-age set- ting, the designer manages to blend the ancient with the contemporary for a sophisticated and unique look that is undeniably Michael Aiduss.
