A NIGHT OF BRITISH FASHION AND AMERICAN ART BY JANE ROZELLE. PHOTOGRAPHY BO JOPLIN. S hoppers and art lovers commingled at Mulberry boutique in NorthPark Center for a fashionable fête with PaperCity and The Cedars Union, a newly launched incubator for the arts. Hosts Max Trowbridge and Megan Ruth Bowdon oversaw the festivities, which helped spread the word about the nonprofit while showcasing the latest goods from the British luxury brand. Divulging details on the featured collections was Johanan Merino, Mulberry's director of marketing in from New York, as well as store manager Nicole Pacich. Artwork by The Cedars Union's resident artist Joshua King was strategically displayed among the handcrafted leather handbags, shoes, and womenswear. "It was a great evening of art and fashion. Joshua and Mulberry made this such a memorable evening for The Cedars Union," shared CU executive director Robert Hernandez. Located in the heart of South Dallas on South Ervay Street, The Cedars Union (presented by the Bowdon Foundation) is fast establishing itself as a game changer for Dallas. It's the city's premier artists' union, solely focused on the self-sufficiency of local emerging artists as they develop their creative processes. CU project manager Ben Griffith, and Ken and Bobbye Bowdon were among the genteel crowd spreading the word while indulging in fare from Sissy's Southern Kitchen.
