ERIC HESTER Glasstire Previews The Auction Texas Rainey Knudson Susie & Sanford Criner A ward-garnering Texas art Web site Glasstire drummed up interest for its first annual Texas auction by throwing a preview party in the Pennzoil Plaza Lobby. GT unveiled copies of its auction catalog and revealed ready-forthe-block artworks by its 15 highly collectible headliners: Robyn O'Neil, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Alejandro Diaz, James Drake, Debra Barrera, and Sharon Engelstein, among others. Early this month, Christie's VP Sara Friedlander will come in from New York to conduct live bidding on the coveted lots, with artists receiving half the proceeds from each of their donated creations. Save the date: Friday, November 2, at Pennzoil Plaza Lobby. Eying the future lots: chair Judy Nyquist, GT founder Rainey Knudson, Jessica Phifer, Nina Delano, Rachel Cook, and Lawndale director Christine West.
