DI TUBBS Making It Better at Magnums Make a Difference Honorees John & Karen Hofmeister Jerry Davis A night of BYO magnums at The Wynden brought in revelers and their pocketbooks for Making It Better's annual fund-raising soirée, Magnums Make a Difference. Guests brought magnums of their favorite bottles to share as they bid at a live auction and enjoyed a four-course dinner by Monsterville's Catering & Events. At the vino-centric night, more than $160,000 was raised — a record-breaking amount for the nonprofit to benefit its literacy, leadership and life-skills programs for at-risk young students. MIB founder and CEO Jerry Davis presented Karen and John Hofmeister with the inaugural Excellence in Education Award.
