The New York– based Schafer spoke about the importance of houses having good bones and architectural elements. After the talk, he signed copies of his book, The Great American House: Tradition for the Way We Live Now, which Curate bookshop brought in for the evening. Taken by this master of the trade: architectural historian Stephen Fox, Samantha and Preston Wood, Susan Keeton, Elaine Ellender, Darby and Andy Suman, Victoria Jezic, Karin Tennant, Cindy Thorp, and Kerri Baldwin.
