At Neiman Marcus, store director Bob Devlin hosted MKG Art's Melissa Grobmyer and Janet Hobby for a Houston Fine Art Fair fête with art installations, a presentation of fall trends and a PA by designer Catherine Deane. And how better to end the evening than toasting gourmet s'mores around couture campfires. Basking in the firelight: Deborah Colton, Jerry Butler, Emmelie Kopp, Lauren Humphrey, Paulina Padilla, Pamela Perilloux, Lauren Villasana, Jerri Moore, Chris Elrod, and Jared Lang. At Saks Fifth Avenue, it was all about AIDS Foundation Houston, where store director Terry Zmyslo welcomed a trifecta of design stars for the occasion: Carr Men's Bob George Carr, whose brand is based on his brother Zack's sketches Devlin at Neiman (Zack served as Calvin Klein's creative director); Le Labo's Fabrice Marcus Penot, who explained the finer points of fragrance; and Theresa Roemer, who signed copies of her new book, Nude: Unveiling Your Inner Beauty and Sensuality, near the fragrance counter. A gathering spot was 12, the new bar on the third floor, where we found Ralph Lauren's Caroline Gray and Baldo LaRussa, in from New York; Saks' Stephanie Von Stein; Shawn Howell of Saks corporate; Alton LaDay; Mark Horn and James Blair; Karina Barbieri; Legacy's Joel Kalmin and Timmy Martinez; GQ's Tracy Eisenman; and Bonita Britt. Elsewhere in the Galleria, Chanel's stylish soirée was awash with French hospitality. Store director Amy Logan charmed guests with a peek at the house's recently debuted book, The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited, which was penned by French fashion persona Carine Roitfeld and Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. Sinfully chic: Crystal Wilkerson, Amee Ly, Mary Tran, Diandra Anwar, Becca Quisenberry, and Lindsey Dee.
