R etail and residential nexus West Ave drew a stylish ensemble for three evening escapades. Tootsies took the lead, hosting the launch of A Couture Cause, a 13-month bound calendar featuring fashionable Houstonians, photographed by Rhonda Hunter. Creators Tamar Mendelssohn and Lyndsey Zorich rejoiced as they shared this first-of-its- kind calendar, with proceeds benefitting Orange Show Center for Visionary Art and Houston's Youth Hope Association. Tunes, bites and a Ranjana Khan trunk show accompanied the debut. Up to date: Lauren Mills, Leigh Evans, Brooke Wise, Trang Nguyen and Chau Nguyen, Cecilia Marquez, and Katy Atlas. Festivities continued as PaperCity hosted Winter Wishes at West Ave. Shoppers sipped and strolled as PC editors Catherine D. Anspon, Kate Stukenberg, Seth Vaughan, Megan Pruitt Winder, and Anna Schuster offered style and design insights. Guests walked away with winter goodie bags and the chance to win prizes. A sartorial brigade assembled for the opening of Suitsupply, the Amsterdam-based menswear company with a reimagined approach to the suit- shopping experience. Champagne flowed as CEO/founder Fokke de Jong and VP Nish de Gruiter welcomed guests and unveiled their haberdashery goods. Well suited: Braxton Huggins, Kenna and Gerry Gibson, and in-house tailor Emilia Batista.
