Before the annual PaperCity Design Awards ceremony to an- nounce this year's winning entries, a wealth of frosty Moët & Chandon and Deep Eddy vodka greeted designers and archi- tects at Connie LeFevre's Design House showroom at The Houston Design Center. For the big reveal, the crowd moved to Alkusari Stone Showroom, where designer Vicente Wolf in from NYC, California designer Suzanne Rheinstein, and Vicki Yuan, architect at San Antonio-based Lake | Flato, read the winning names and bestowed upon each the Baccarat award. The trio, along with Connecticut- based architect Roger Ferris, who was unable to attend the awards ceremony, had sifted through 297 entries in 15 categories with more than 2,000 images and descriptions, to arrive at their decisions.
