Stanley Dixon T hree-time winner of the Southeast Architect of the Year Award, 11-time winner of the Philip Trammell Shutze Award, and two- time winner of the Addison Mizner Medal, Stan Dixon is a beacon of Southern style. Based in Atlanta, he embraces both classical elements and modern design in his edited approach to architecture. In his first book, Home: The Residential Architecture of D. Stanley Dixon (Rizzoli), he showcases 13 projects with a variety of styles and geographic contexts, from a coastal retreat on Jupiter Island to a South Carolina coastal home inspired by English manors. His goal is to interpret individual needs and desires through contextually sensitive work that engages appropriate style, scale and proportion, giving every building a sense of permanence and delight. The resulting body of work has set an exacting standard. What, When, Where: Illustrated talk, morning mimosas, and book signing with D.
