letter editor STEVEN VISNEAU, SISTERBROTHER MGMT. 14 O ne of my favorite quotes comes by way of Karl Lagerfeld: "Change is the healthiest way to sur- vive." It is ironic, really, that I identify with those words as I am admittedly a creature of habit and not one to particularly rejoice when change comes swinging along. But here's the thing, as I write this note I find myself welcoming change with open arms. (That Karl always knows what he's talking about.) You see, we have quite a bit happening around here — and the change is not just good, it's great. The excitement comes with the addition of two new faces to our team. The first is our new Dallas publisher Hillery Stack, fresh from New York having moved here with her husband, Mike, after building an impressive career in media, from working on the client side at Harry Winston to time spent in advertising at The New York Times and, most recently, at Marie Claire magazine. From the second I met Hillery, I knew she would fit not just our magazine, but Dallas, effortlessly. She has impeccable taste, a dynamic spirit, and a somewhat secret hobby involving diamonds. You can read about that and more in a rapid-fire questionnaire all about Hillery on page 16. The second addition to our team is Billy Fong. Many of you know him as the author of our Bomb.com column, but this month he comes on board full time as our Dallas culture/style editor, leaving his long career in the museum world for magazine life. Our reason to hire him was simple: We loved him so much, one column a month was just not enough. To celebrate Billy as he joins our editorial team, we flipped the tables, making him the July/August issue's Bomb. com. (See page 80.) No doubt, Hillery and Billy will shake things up around here, and the timing could not be more perfect. Come fall, PaperCity officially kicks off its 20th anniversary in Dallas. Oh, how things have changed since 1998 — but more on that in our September issue. Until then, here's to summer and a much-needed vacation.
