22 STAR POWER CHICK LIT BY LINDEN WILSON. PHOTOGRAPHY TAMYTHA CAMERON, HOLT HAYNSWORTH. S peaking on stage at this year's Chick Lit Luncheon benefitting Community Partners of Dallas, actress Katie Holmes discussed the Dawson's Creek reunion, her girl crush Michelle Obama, and a bold haircut she braved for a role that didn't pan out. But it was when she declared, "Texas women are just amazing," that cheers and applause erupted from the crowd at the Hilton Anatole. Holmes was posh perfection in a citrus-hued Gucci frock, sitting opposite PaperCity Dallas editor in chief Christina Geyer for a frank exchange that covered Holmes' Hollywood adventures as well as the work CPD does for abused and neglected children in Dallas. This was the 12th year for the luncheon, which has thrived since it relocated three years ago from Brook Hollow Golf Club to the Anatole's much roomier Chantilly Ballroom. This year, the sold-out event recognized philanthropist Jan Rees-Jones for her support of the CPD's Rainbow Room emergency resource center on behalf of The Rees-Jones Foundation.
