W hen a luncheon draws more than 1,000 guests — all arriving in shades of red, adhering strictly to the afternoon's dress code — you know it's an afternoon not to be missed. This was the scene at the American Heart Association Go Red for Women Luncheon at the Omni Dallas Hotel. And when all was said and done, from honoring Diane McNulty along with 75 heart-at- tack survivors to an on-stage discussion with Emmy Award-winner Leeza Gibbons, the best news came when it was announced that $1.5 million was raised for American Heart Association. SEEN: Co-chairs Janelle Walker and Lisa Cooley, and attendees John Warner, Brynn Bagot Allday, Tavia Hunt, Mary Parker, Kate Rose Marquez, and Gracie Hunt. T here's plenty to love about the luncheon and fashion show benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event had a sunny new venue: a translucent tent at NorthPark Center's CenterPark Garden, which had been transformed into a garden party by interior designer Cathy Kincaid. Jan Strimple produced a fashion show tapping NorthPark retailers Roberto Cavalli, Rebecca Taylor, and Neiman Marcus. Thanks to chairs Rozalyn Colombo and Nancy Gopez, this event surpassed its fund-raising goal, netting more than $630,000. SPOTTED: Carmaleta Whiteley Felton, Kim Hext, Maggie Kipp, Mary Parker, Jenna Alexander and Andrea Nayfa.
