letter publisher ANNE LAHO uly marks the middle of summer — camps are in full swing, and cooler-weather vacations are what everyone is craving. This month's magazine is a combined July/August issue, designed to give our editors and advertising sales people a much- needed recharge before fall. We'll spend this time traveling, reorganizing our offices, and implementing exciting new marketing and advertising packages. Our editors are gearing up for thick fall issues, spending the next two months photographing houses, people, and fashion. This month's editorial highlights include some of the best spring parties, favorite rooms we've published over the last decades, and an introduction to one of my favorite restaurants in the world, Nobu. From Malibu to New York to Aspen (home of Nobu Matsuhisa's original concept, Matsuhisa, which is still family owned), Nobu is a must-visit for me. I was lucky enough to secure a reservation at the Houston location during opening week in early June, and it was as fabulous as the other Nobus. For those of you spending time in Aspen this summer, you won't want to miss the Akris pop-up shop at 625 East Hyman Avenue, next door to the Aspen Art Museum. The Swiss luxury fashion brand — with boutiques all over the world, including Houston and Dallas — will showcase the Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which is known for its vivid and refined aesthetic. To see it now, visit akris.ch. I hope everyone enjoys the last days of summer and savors the time spent traveling or at home, with family and friends. See you in the fall!
