24 JUST ADD WATER SHELBY HODGE DIGS IN. PHOTOGRAPHY JACOB POWER. T raditionally, former supermodels have head- lined the benefit luncheon for I Am Waters. This year, the nonprofit's founder, Elena Davis — a former Eileen Ford model herself — opted for an intimate fund-raising dinner with supermodel Elle Macpherson. Stylish entrepreneurs Terri and John Havens opened their River Oaks château for the evening, which began with cocktails in a side garden and segued to dinner on the chapel terrace. That would be the 200-year-old chapel that the Havenses, proud Francophiles, imported stone by stone from France. Chairs Phoebe Tudor, Hallie Vanderhider, and Jessica Roupe were aided in their fund-raising mission by Tom Roupe, Jessica's husband, who underwrote the al fresco fête. Davis tapped NBC News correspondent Janet Shamlian to emcee the evening, which focused on I Am Waters' mission of hydrating the homeless both spiritually and physically. Once homeless herself, Davis is committed to assisting those whose plight she knows too well.
